US Shutdown Has Ended. TheMail Online.

How big of a hit did the US economy take?

The resolution has evolved but what is the US economy left to deal with?

The threat of a debt-limit crisis certainly left behind some catastrophe for Americans to sort out in the future. Is it over yet? Most definitely not. The shutdown posed a huge threat to people all over the world and left thousands of empoloyees all over the world jobless. It jeapordised the lives of many, as politicians bitterly disagreed about raising the debt-ceiling. The on-going dispute about Obamacare still remains evident, yet we can argue that the Republicans still and could not have won their way through this battle.

Depsite the Government shutting down Obamacare was launched. Federal services were closed and confidence was shattered as the country feared that they would be driven into a default. Economic growth was stalled, and the Mail Online continue to point out many suspicious threats weighted upon Americans. They somehow point this out crucially online that the US political breakdown is not over yet, and many should still remain dubious.

Has their startling reputation been damaged? Debatable.

The government shutdown and flirtation with default have dealt a severe and entirely avoidable blow to America’s reputation around the world while harming economic growth and job creation

This is a common Mail Online Right Wing perspective in comparison to that of the Guardian where they focus on negatives rather than the positive sides. Something that the general public should be made aware of. Something American citizens and workers and investors all over the world should be knowledgeable about.  Definitely a shift away from Modernism.

The start date of the shutdown was on the 1st of October and re-opened on the 17th. A serious deadline was approaching as the parties were forced to make a compulsory decision. Dents to economical growth is likely as the whole event will more than likely hold a domino effect upon thousands of tax payers.

Alternatively, the Mail Online do sum up their ideas on a more enlightened note. The main point of the story is that, thankfully, the US didn’t result in a recession. The long haul vision though, still remains as an ongoing discussion which is yet to be negotiated by both sides by mid-January.

That risk is now off the table, at least for now.

Emphasised risks are apparent. This is just something they like to keep their readership informed about.

Of course it’s vital that their audience are aware of political harm that can and more than likely will affect them. Not being the only point – many tourists were affected by the shutdown of many US attractions, as various tweets emphasize.

Operations are back in working order now as the US begin to recover from their ‘unexpected’ stalemate position, they could shatter again if a permanent resolution isn’t agreed upon.

Putting the world to right

The Heated Press

Mad things are happening in this world and especially in my thoughts:

Just as I get to grips with what is going on in the world, something else happens! The whole American Government shutdown is really frustrating me… They need to remember that the lives of many Americans have come to a standstill – this isn’t fair on the people of America. They shouldn’t let their political disagreements affect society! I hope Obama stays safe within the Government; I think he is such an inspirational President and he’s only trying to improve the lives of his people by introducing Obamacare: a cheaper form of healthcare that didn’t previously exist in America.

There are enough votes in House to end the shutdown. #JustVote

Well said Obama.

In the UK Cameron really needs to invest more money into the NHS. I read an article recently how the NHS has had less money given to them for their departments this year and the general public are suffering because of it. Waiting times are an average of 4+ hours in A&E. I just don’t think this is acceptable. It’s amusing to see the Conservatives and Labour battling to be ahead of the game and win the next election – with talks of freezing energy prices, and then Cameron with plans of implementing the new law of under 25s not being able to sign on…forcing them to work. Their views are so diverse…

I have been thinking more recently how much I want to travel. Traveling last year really opened up a pool of new opportunities – making friends all over the world. Blogging on a daily basis was so rewarding: tracking my journey bit by bit. I have more plans in place to travel next year, so watch this space 🙂 I live to travel. Travelling is like a book, those who don’t travel stay on one page. Get out there into the world. Embrace it with both hands, and experience the world we are living in. As I’m getting older I am increasingly getting into touch with my senses… I find things so beautiful and then I get so emotional. I have truly found myself, and I enjoy my own company. My path and chosen study is definitely what I love doing. I have made the perfect decision and will never look back!!

PASSION is just an understatement…

Yesterday I read some amazing articles and blog entries about public thinking. They were incredible! Just the sort that really gets you thinking. I was so engrossed – in my absolute element. I learned that we are living in an age where we can freely express ourselves as individuals. We are heard. This is something we need to all do more and get involved. Use Globalisation and the digital ‘paradigm shift’ to be noticed, be heard and be credited via communication. It is incredible how much is out there and we should utilise it to the maximum. Through sharing our ideas with one another can excel, increase our knowledge and learn new things  constantly. I love the New Media and being a journalist means I can definitely use the new movements to my full potential…

you only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough

Out Of Touch?

Obamacare Dispute

I am really concerned for the people of America at the moment – relating to the Government shutdown. Angrily watching the BBC last night I don’t understand why the Republicans cannot see that the Obamacare is a fantastic innovation for the citizens of America. Setting aside the budget, the deficit still exists, so the new Obamacare doesn’t affect the country’s debt as it still exists anyway. The healthcare reform act is such a great system which allows working Americans to receive the affordable treatment they need. It will save millions. Barack Obama and the Democrats have the right idea, and the Republicans should really consider reopening the Government soon before the economy runs into default. What they perhaps fail to see is that the Obamacare is now officially open anyway; so they cannot win either way by not agreeing. Frustrating!

Cameron & Johnson

Another thing in the news that took me back was yesterday when David Cameron got interviewed and asked how much a loaf of bread is from a local supermarket. It’s although the President cannot win! Answering truthfully and claiming his ownership of a bread-maker, a Sony one, doesn’t make him a bad person. Yes, he was ignorant of the price. He didn’t know. Nor do the majority of men and women who do a big shop on a weekly basis; especially men themselves. Anything the media can point out they will!

Claiming that a loaf of bread is,

“Well north of a pound,”

Does that make him out of touch? I’m not convinced.

The Tories are under pressure to do more to ease living costs after the Labour leader, Ed Miliband, pledged to freeze energy bills for 20 months if Labour returned to power.

Being put under so much pressure, I did notice when listening to his interview yesterday how he stumbled his words – although he struggled to handle the situation well. Like Boris Johnson, also being accused for being out of touch for not knowing the price of a pint of milk he quotes,

Boris Johnson: ‘I don’t know how much a pint of milk costs. So what?’

Sooner or later we will see the bread making companies jumping at the chance to advertise their produce, due to this mass eruption of ignorance to the consuming market of day to day produce. Out of touch? Open to debate.
