The past is history, the future is a mystery…

Today is a gift that’s why they call it the present, did you know that? Every day is a new fresh start and it doesn’t matter about yesterday because new doors will be open to you.

Of course it’s essential to consider and remember you past as it has helped shape who you are, but today is where the power lies, and it all starts from within.

God has made you and placed you on this planet for a purpose. Each of us has a purpose and it may take us many years to figure that out or we may not ever figure it out.

I imagine that if we dip our fingers into many loop holes and explore avenues we will find our way eventually, or even be born with a natural talent that we seek to excel or we may even feel inspired on the daily with an intuitive thought pushing us in a certain direction.

Either one it can be difficult following a dream that you want to achieve in your life, because most of us are afraid of what we can do rather than what we can’t.

Tomorrow is certainly a mystery and that’s what’s thrilling about the whole life experience. Things change rapidly – as most of you have probably realised for yourself – and where you are right now doesn’t mean it’s where you have to be tomorrow, and it all starts with a shift in the thought process. Believe in yourself and others will start to believe in you.

The media can be tantalising – every day most of us feel worried about the Middle East and what the people are going through over there. Innocent civilians are leaving in fear every day in Syria wondering if they have any future at all. Russia and Ukraine continue their battle and the world live in fear over President Putin and his decision-making which has potential to overturn the world. We never know what tomorrow will bring, so we just have to accept what is and pray for a bright and peaceful message to swamp the world so we can all live in harmony and at ease.

Doubt That Tries To Get In The Way

It troubles my mind sometimes when doubt creeps in to your mind and you begin to question everything in life.

Why is it so unfair and divided in the world with people deprived of enough food when there is more than enough to go around to feed everyone? Am I on the right road to what I’m supposed to do? Is there more that I could be doing to help people and give something back?

It can be troubling and worrying but what one wise man once told me, all we can do is “lead by example”, and hopefully the positivity you radiate from yourself as a being will reflect onto others.

Then I remember that we are all human and it’s quite normal for us to doubt things, the world and even the people that we associate ourselves with.

Association has a huge effect on the way we view the world even if we fail to see it for ourselves. A ‘vision’ is shared and distilled into our minds, perhaps one that may be out of character to who we actually are and then we become influenced.

All I know now is that we just need to take it one step at a time and not plan too far into the future because you never know what tomorrow may bring. Looking too far into the ‘long-haul’ can distract you from now, and can make us not appreciate what is in-front of us when it exists.

When we sit back and live in the present moment there are no worries, Hakuna Matata, as they say in the very famous Lion King!

Sense of Loneliness

Isn’t it a crazy feeling when you are surrounded by a crowd of people, yet inside you feel empty and lonely? Lonely like it is just you. You versus the world. You have the world on your shoulders and all you want to do is let it all out but you don’t know where to start, nor do you know who to talk to.

We are all human and we can all get full of up of our emotions to the point where we feel like bursting. Like my parents used to say to me: A problem shared is a problem solved. Or maybe halved? All depends on who you’re sharing it with I guess! But yes I guess I can agree, when you let it out in the open you feel a heap of relief like a burden has been lifted, and there is always sunshine after the rain. The trick of the book is to see the light when it is all darkness, and erase yourself from a tunnel vision but to see it as a learning experience one that is helping to shape your perspective for the better.

Usually when we go through tough times in our lives we feel like there is no hope for tomorrow and that we have no-one there for you. I want to be that person where people feel comfortable turning to. The thought of making someones’ day and helping a friend really gives me an inner-sense of joy. I feel like I have succeeded in something truly remarkable, and it makes me know that I am serving this life well. I think anyone could agree with me that it feels good to make others feel good.

It’s like when you read a book and you feel as though the author is speaking to you. You feel a connection and you relate to the scenarios and contexts of the novel in a way that inspires you. Or when you watch a film and you look at your partner next to you and squeeze one-another when the films speaks of words that you both instantly relate to.

I watched a friend of mine go from feeling like she had no-one there for her to totally shifting her awareness and knowing she had the world on her side. This all happened because of one thing – because she believed that she had the world on her side. They say you have to be careful what you say to yourself because you are listening. That couldn’t be more true. The mind is a powerful thing!

IMG_0540“You Are Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera is a beautiful song. This image above resonates that peak emotion I feel when I listen to it, when I sit back and think about who I am and where I have come from. How do you expect someone else to love you if you don’t even love yourself?
